Insect - Leafhoppers

Prepared by Frank Zalom, Mark A Bell and Masooma Azam - UC Davis International Programs Leafhoppers, also known as hoppers are minute plant-feeding insects found all over the world. They have piercing sucking mouthparts and they feed on plant sap. Hoppers can transmit plant viruses and bacteria.
