Weeds گیاهان هرزه

Weeds compete for resources and reduce crop production.
Problems and Opportunities

Effective weed management includes proper crop rotation practices, cultivation (or weed removal), proper field preparation or stale seed-bed weed control prior to crop planting, removal of weeds prior to seed-head formation, and the possible proper selection of herbicides.  However, herbicides are not widely available in Afghanistan.

Priority problems include dodder and other parasitic weeds.

Priority opportunities for weeds are not yet confirmed.

These draft problems are based on feedback from Sharif Shah Reshteen.
